This class takes place in the store on: Sundays June 2nd, 9th, & 23rd from 3pm – 5:30pm & Saturday June 8th from 9am – Noon.

Participants will make a 42” x 60” finished quilt.
Techniques learned:
–Basic quilt construction skills
–Cutting techniques
–Basic strip piecing

What You’ll Need for Class

–Pattern Book: One Block by Donna Robertson
–Three yards of different fabrics—one yard of Focus fabric, one yard of light fabric, and one yard of contrasting or dark fabric.
–matching thread,
–sewing machine in working condition
— quilting pins
–rotary mat and cutter
–long acrylic ruler for cutting fabric (6.5 X 24)
–seam ripper

The pattern calls for cutting your binding 1-1/4” wide, if you prefer your binding to be cut 2-1/2” wide then purchase ¾ yds of the fabric you desire. The pattern calls for the binding to be cut out of fabric #2. If you want your quilt to be larger than follow the enlarging your pattern to purchase your fabric.

Before class read through the directions to get a basic understanding about the quilt. Write down questions for things you don’t understand.
