Stripped Hexagon Table Topper (IN-STORE)

Make a hexagon table topper using 2 ½” strips. You will complete the following techniques:
–Strip piecing.
–Cut fabric using a 60⁰ ruler
–Piecing triangles into a hexagon
A discounted materials kit is available for separate purchase. If there’s time, we will quilt and bind the table topper.

What You’ll Need for Class
–Sewing machine and manual
–60⁰ ruler with a finished size of at least 8 inches
–¼” sewing machine foot
–Walking foot
–Neutral thread – 50 wt.
–Mono Poly thread
–Basic sewing notions, including scissors, seam ripper, straight pins
–Stiletto or long tweezers or Purple Thang
–Wonder clips
–Iron, Iron mat/board
–Rotary Cutter & Cutting Mat
–12” ruler to use with rotary cutter
Fabric Needed: (A Materials Kit is Available for Purchase)
–8 coordinating 2 ½” fabric strips (4 lights and 4 darks work best)
–1 – 1/6 yard of cream or white fabric for background
–1 ½ yards fabric for backing and binding
–1 – 30” x 30” batting
