Legit Kits Foundation Paper Piecing (IN-STORE)

This class takes place on June 6 and June 20 from 10:00am-4:00pm.
Participants will get hands-on training rich with techniques, options, tricks & tips, and skill-building activities on Foundation Paper Piecing using the instructions in the project kit you use for class. The project will make a 15″ x 20″ block to make a wall hanging. The kit includes the printed foundation paper, fabric, and instructions. The technique you learn is the same no matter what kit you use. Project kits for the class include the Cardinal Mini, Lil Chip, or Blue Jay Mini (discounted over 50% for class). The discounted Project kit is included in class fee and provided by the project instructor. Interested in a different kit? To make this project you will complete the following techniques:
– – Foundation paper piecing
– – Sew as you go piecing
– – Matching seams and points
– – Sewing pieces and sections together to make a block
– – Sewing blocks together to make a quilt top
What to Bring to Class
Must Pack
– – Cardinal Mini, Lil Chip, or Blue Jay Mini (provided by instructor). Interested in a different kit? Contact the shop to let the instructor know.
– – Sewing machine
– – 1/4 inch open-toe foot for machine
– – Neutral thread (I like Wonderfil’s Decobob 80wt, but a 5Owt or 60wt – Legit Kits kit thread will work too)
– – Bobbins
– – Rotary cutter with new blade
– – Scissors for Fabric
– – Scissors for Paper
– – Iron & iron surface (wool mat, pad, etc)
– – Cutting mat
– – Tape
– – Add-A-Quarter ruler
– – Glue stick/pen
– – Tweezers
– – Seam ripper
– – 12 inch ruler (not 12×12 square) with 1/4 inch markings I like Creative Grid® 3 ½ x 12 ½
