Hexie Blooms is a modern take on the classic Grandmother’s Flower Garden quilts! This block-based pattern uses NO y-seams and no hand sewing, and it includes three design options for maximum flexibility–sew a scrappy version with fabric from your stash or your favorite precut, use FQs for a stunning full bloom version, or use yardage for a classic 2-color version.
Hexie Blooms is the perfect pattern for confident beginners who are comfortable with matching seams and are ready to give templates a try. Pattern includes helpful diagrams, detailed instructions, and a Color-Your-Own page to help you decide your fabric choices.
Sizes: Baby (45″ x 45″), Throw (58″ x 65″), Twin (72″ x 90″), and Queen (90″ x 100″).
Skill Level: Confident Beginner. The pattern assumes the quilter knows basic piecing techniques, can maintain a consistent 1/4″ seam, and is comfortable matching points.
