Did you start a Sewing Project and end up in a jam??? Can’t figure it out and need a little guidance through it? Or just don’t know where to begin? Well this is the class for you! Bring us your project and all of your questions and we will guide you through it step by step! Workshop time is designed for sewing instructions focused & customized on your sewing needs! Soooooo — Let’s #Sew2Gether!
In this class, you will:
–Have 1-on-1 time with experienced tailors
–The ability to receive guidance through reading patterns, creating new patterns & templates
–Customized the class to your focused & specific areas of interest
–Date & Time: See options; Duration will be 1–2-hour options available
This class is also used when a class project such as Basic Sewing 103 or Basic Sewing 104 not completed, and you would like to finish it with our Sewing Instructor (Louise).
What You’ll Need for Class
–Sewing Machine Manual (if you do not have a printed-out copy, please be prepared to bring a downloaded version)
–Thread
–Bobbins for your Machine (note: always check the package of bobbins when purchasing to ensure that your sewing machine model appears for usage)
–Universal, Overlock/Serge, Roll Hem and/or Blind Stitch Pressor Foot (only 1 is required per the type of hem that will be performed on your dress, skirt or shirt)
–Machine Needles per your machine; both single & double needles (note: always check the package of needles when purchasing to ensure that your sewing machine model appears for usage)
–Sewing Machine Toolbox – (Note: all can be available at The Sewing Station Learning Center Online Boutique or NWSC):
–Hand Stitch Needles
–Scissors for cutting fabric
–Snippers for cutting threads
–Seam ripper
–Tape measure and/or ruler
–Straight Pins (25)
–Fabrics –
–Student brings in 1 garment (a dress, skirt or shirt) that requires alterations / hemming (lengthening or shortening)
