Beginning Foundation Paper Piecing (IN-STORE)

In this class, learn the basics of foundation paper piecing. Foundation Paper Piecing (FPP) is a piecing technique in quilt making. The technique uses paper as a foundation to stabilize the quilt block as it is constructed. Once the quilt block is completed, the paper is removed. The instructor will supply the free paper pattern for you. This will be a fun and relaxed class to learn this wonderful technique.
What You’ll Need for Class
–A sewing machine in good working order.
— Thread.
–Sewing Notions like scissors, ripper, and straight pins, and two full bobbins mating your top thread.
–1/2 yard of background fabric
–Various scrap fabrics no smaller than 3×3 or 6 fat quarters
–Add-a-quarter ruler at least 6 inches or more.
–Rotory cutter and matt
–Small iron and ironing pad (or use what we have at the store)
