SUMMARY:Beginning Quilting: Louvers Quilt Class
DESCRIPTION:This class takes place on April 6th\, 13th\, 27th and May 4th. \nThe participants will make the Louvers quilt from Quilts on the Double by Donna Robertson. The quilt will be 43-1/2” by 61-1/2”.  This book is available at Northwest Sewing Center at a 20% discount. We will be learning how to make half square triangles and squaring those blocks. If you want to make this quilt larger\, follow the Louvers portion in the pattern book. Or contact Rita or Linda to help you. \nYou get 20% off all materials when you buy your supplies at the shop or over the phone ‭(512) 459-3961.‬  \nView the Flyer \n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				What You’ll Need for Class\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				Three yards of different fabrics—one yard of light fabric\, one yard of dark fabric\, and one yard of contrasting fabric.\nThe pattern calls for cutting your binding 1-1/4” wide\, if you prefer your binding to be cut 2-1/2” wide then purchase 1-1/3 yds. of the #3 fabric \n\n—On the Double Book\n–Three/one yard fabric\n–Pattern calls for cutting your binding 1-1/4” wide\, if you prefer your binding to be cut 2-1/2” wide then purchase 1-1/3 yds. of the #3 fabric\n–Matching thread\,\n–Sewing machine in working condition\,\n–9½ X  9½ or larger squared ruler\n–Temporary basting glue\n–Quilting pins\,\n–Rotary mat and cutter\,\n–Long acrylic ruler for cutting fabric (6.5 X 24)\n–Seam ripper\n–Bloc Loc 4.5” x 4.5” ruler or Clearly Perfect Slotted Trimmers is helpful but not necessary. \nBefore class read through the directions to get a basic understanding about the quilt.
