While any size can be worked on\, a baby or throw sized quilt will be most manageable for most quilters during this class.\n—Fabric for binding strips\, do not cut fabric into strips\, this will be covered in class.  You will need ½ yard of fabric for a baby or throw quilt\, and may need up to a yard of fabric for a larger queen- or king-sized quilt.  We will discuss how to calculate exactly how much fabric is needed in class.\n—Thread and filled bobbin to coordinate with binding fabric and one additional bobbin in a color which contrasts with the backing of your quilt\n—Straight pins or Wonder Clips™\n—Rotary cutter\, long ruler and the largest square ruler you have\n—Seam Ripper and sewing snips or scissors\n—Magnetic Seam Guide\, painters or washi tape\, seam gauge ruler\n—Sewing machine* in good working order\, including:\n—All-purpose sewing foot (zig zag not a straight stitch foot)\n—Walking foot\n—Stitch in the Ditch Foot\n—Left Edge Top Stitch Foot or Bi-level Foot\n—Machine needle\, size 90/14\n—Extension table if you have it \n* Note\, it is best to bring the machine you plan to do your binding on to class.
