SUMMARY:Beginning Quilting: Fur Babies (IN-STORE)
DESCRIPTION:This class takes place May 17\, 24\, 31\, & June 7 from 3pm to 5:30pm. \nClass participants will make the adorable Fur Babies quilt from Double Focus by Donna Robertson & Fran Morgan. This beginner quilting class teaches foundational skills\, from rotary cutting to binding\, to create your first quilt top. Designed for those new to quilting or those wishing to refresh their skills. The course covers accurate cutting and piecing\, fabric selection\, pressing\, and machine quilting techniques. You can expect to complete a lap-size quilt top in class. Specific piecing techniques for this class include half square triangles\, snow balled blocks and strip piecing. DESCRIPTION:Join us for a fun half day to create a simple quilt top for local charities! This is a Linus Connection quilting event\, suitable for beginner and experienced quilters alike! The Linus Connection organization will provide full precut kits and instructions to create adorable quilt tops. Refreshments and snacks will be provided\, but feel free to bring a sack lunch to accommodate any special dietary requirements. Precut kits will be provided at no charge. SUMMARY:Legit Kits Foundation Paper Piecing (IN-STORE)
DESCRIPTION:This class takes place on June 6 and June 20 from 10:00am-4:00pm. \nParticipants will get hands-on training rich with techniques\, options\, tricks & tips\, and skill-building activities on Foundation Paper Piecing using the instructions in the project kit you use for class. The project will make a 15″ x 20″ block to make a wall hanging. The kit includes the printed foundation paper\, fabric\, and instructions. The technique you learn is the same no matter what kit you use. Project kits for the class include the Cardinal Mini\, Lil Chip\, or Blue Jay Mini (discounted over 50% for class). The discounted Project kit is included in class fee and provided by the project instructor. Interested in a different kit? Contact the shop to let the instructor know with enough time to have it shipped to you for class.
