DESCRIPTION:Your quilt isn’t truly finished until it has that perfect\, professional-looking edge! This fun\, beginner-friendly workshop is your chance to master the final step: binding. In this informative 4-hour class\, you’ll gain the confidence to wrap up your masterpieces beautifully.\nWe’ll start with the most popular method\, the French Double Fold binding\, giving you clean\, durable edges you’ll be proud of. But we won’t stop there! Get ready to explore exciting extras and conquer the tricky parts:\n–Customized Finishes: Discover how to add eye-catching extras like a flange (a skinny border)\, piping (a neat cord)\, and even how to make color changes at the corners for a unique look.\n–Conquering Corners: Learn the simple techniques for tackling tricky mitered corners with perfection every time!.\n–Curves Demystified: Understand when and how to use special bias binding for quilts with rounded edges.\n–The Magic Join: Finally conquer the mysterious binding join—we’ll show you the trick to connecting the ends so it’s invisible and perfect every single time! \nBring your creativity and leave with the know-how to turn those raw edges into a beautiful “WOW!” finish. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \nView the Flyer \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n What You Need for Class\n \n \n \n \n \n \n—A fully quilted quilt\, preferably untrimmed. You will need ½ yard of fabric for a baby or throw quilt\, and may need up to a yard of fabric for a larger queen- or king-sized quilt. We will discuss how to calculate exactly how much fabric is needed in class.\n—Thread and filled bobbin to coordinate with binding fabric and one additional bobbin in a color which contrasts with the backing of your quilt\n—Straight pins or Wonder Clips™\n—Rotary cutter\, long ruler and the largest square ruler you have\n—Seam Ripper and sewing snips or scissors\n—Magnetic Seam Guide\, painters or washi tape\, seam gauge ruler\n—Sewing machine* in good working order\, including:\n—All-purpose sewing foot (zig zag not a straight stitch foot)\n—Walking foot\n—Stitch in the Ditch Foot\n—Left Edge Top Stitch Foot or Bi-level Foot\n—Machine needle\, size 90/14\n—Extension table if you have it \n* Note\, it is best to bring the machine you plan to do your binding on to class.
