DESCRIPTION:In this class\, you will learn: \n\n–How measure where the hem should be located\n–The most popular types of hems to be installed such as (NOTE: only 1 of these are taught in class; usually it’s the one that is currently on the garment needing alterations / hemming)\n–Fold-over hem\n–Serge & sew hem\n–Roll hem\n–Blind stitch hem\n–Garment Construction\n–Take in Adjustments\n \n \nView the Flyer\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				What You’ll Need for Class\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				–Sewing Machine (including any tools that come with your machine)\n–Sewing Machine Manual (if you do not have a printed-out copy\, please be prepared to bring a downloaded version)\n–Thread\n–Bobbins for your Machine (note: always check the package of bobbins when purchasing to ensure that your sewing machine model appears for usage)\n–Universal\, Overlock/Serge\, Roll Hem and/or Blind Stitch Pressor Foot (only 1 is required per the type of hem that will be performed on your dress\, skirt or shirt)\n–Machine Needles per your machine; both single & double needles (note: always check the package of needles when purchasing to ensure that your sewing machine model appears for usage)\n–Sewing Machine Toolbox – (Note: all can be available at The Sewing Station Learning Center Online Boutique or NWSC):\n–Hand Stitch Needles\n–Scissors for cutting fabric\n–Snippers for cutting threads\n–Seam ripper\n–Tape measure and/or ruler\n–Straight Pins (25)\n–Fabrics –\n–Student brings in 1 garment to be altered
