DESCRIPTION:This popular class will empower you to begin to alter your own wardrobe to your style.  Bring a garment (pair of Pants\, Slacks\, Jeans\, Shirt\, Dress or Skirt) and we will teach you to Hem\, take in/out\, utilizing techniques to achieve custom results.  #LetsSew2Gether #AlterThat #Upcycle \nIn this class\, you will learn the following:\n•	Measuring your inseam & out seam to obtain a custom fit\n•	Alterations hacks that will save you time & money\n•	Basic Sewing techniques to achieve original hems\n\nChildren are welcome to take the class! However\, if a parent sits in with a child taking the class\, please register for 2 seats.  \n \nView the Flyer\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				What You’ll Need for Class\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				–Sewing Machine (including any tools that come with your machine)\n–Sewing Machine Manual (if you do not have a printed-out copy\, please be prepared to bring a downloaded version)\n–Thread\n–Bobbins for your Machine (try to pre-spin before attending)\n–All Pressor Feet that come with your machine\n–Universal\, Overlock/Serge\, Roll Hem and/or Blind Stitch Pressor Foot (only 1 is required per the type of hem that will be performed on your dress\, skirt or shirt)\n–Machine Needles per your machine; Size 14 & 16 needles\n–Sewing Machine Toolbox – (Note: all can be available at The Sewing Station Learning Center Online Boutique or NWSC):\n–Chalk or fabric Pens\n–Hand Stitch Needles\n–Scissors for cutting fabric\n–Snippers for cutting threads\n–Seam ripper\n–Tape measure and/or ruler\n–Straight Pins (25)\n–Fabrics –\n–Student brings in 1 garment to be altered
