Basic Pant Sewing Class

If are just starting out on your journey of sewing apparel, you will love to attend this fundamental Basic Pant Sewing Class!
In this class, you will learn the following:
—Measuring your waist, hips, inseam & out seam to adjust patterns for a custom fit
—How to layout, cut & the order of sew for an elastic waistband pair of pants
—How to add inseam pockets to any pair of pants
—How to embellish any pair of pants
Prerequisite: Basic Sewing 101 and 102 or familiar with sewing technology. Please see those class descriptions to ensure that you are familiar with and have performed these functions before signing up for this class.
What to Bring to Class
—Fabric – purchase cotton blends, cotton or knit fabrics per the suggested fabrics listed on the package of the pattern; HINT: usually 2-4 yards of material should be sufficient to make a pair of pants
—Notions: 2 yards of 1” wide elastic is provided by The Sewing Station; however, if you choose to bring your own, make sure it’s the proper dimensions
—In-Seam Pocket and/or Waistband Pattern Pieces: this will also be provided by The Sewing Station as add-ons to this pattern
—Sewing Machine & Sewing Tools (including any tools that come with your machine)
—Sewing Machine Manual (if you do not have a printed-out copy, please be prepared to bring a downloaded version)
—Thread & Bobbins – preferably already wound to reduce preparation time
—Universal Pressor Foot; Simulate Serge (aka: Overlock or Overedge) Pressor Foot and or any Embellishment/Craft Pressor Feet (optional)
—Machine Needles Sizes 14 (Size 16 for thicker fabrics)
